No Beneficial Conclusion - Electorate Across the US Voice Anxieties Over the Funding Lapse

American politicians from both political sides are accusing one another as thousands of employees face unpaid leave and the shutdown persists with no conclusion in prospect.

The Democratic Party have resisted to endorse the Republican budget proposal unless ending medical assistance which they argue many laboring parents depend on are renewed.

Republicans want Democrats to pass a interim legislation initially and then they can negotiate the subsidies.

This Golden State citizen is anxious about the widespread effect of the closure on everyday Americans.

The Republicans have fifty-three yeas, they must secure sixty to pass the bill. Is it that hard to find common ground over 7 yeas so that Americans avoid harm?

If this persists for another week or two, the truth is Americans are being harmed, US residents are being impacted by this and a leader needs to take action to be the responsible party in the group.

I think sometimes politicians are so distant from the people, the regular person going about their day, so they forget what the challenge is like and I think they should remember that, especially if it's 750,000 US citizens that are unpaid.

That's a large group of people missing wages, that's a significant number of citizens unable to inject their earnings back into the economy. Citizens are just being hurt.

A Democratic Voter, Early Twenties, Democrat

This Old Line State citizen acknowledges this funding lapse will cause pain to many Americans, but she thinks it is a necessary political fight.

I'm anxious because there is no good outcome with the government being inactive.

I'm extremely concerned about what's going to happen to low-income families, students who rely on federal scholarships and government workers.

But this is a important struggle for the Democratic Party to wage. Of course jobs are going to be eliminated, programmes are going to lack financial support, which is so unfortunate but I do not believe that is blood that the Democratic Party would have on their conscience.

I think it's worth it to persist, this is delivering a powerful signal to their supporters.

Punal Bhavsar, 36, Democratic Supporter

This Golden State voter is anxious the Democrats do not have strategy in their shutdown plan.

I don't know if the Senate Democratic leader has a game plan for an exit strategy to talks or how to lead the faction out of this.

I don't know if the Democrats have a clear communication to the American people on what they're doing.

In terms of social media messaging, the Republicans certainly have the edge. The narrative is not resounding on what the left are trying to do.

I'm currently at a juncture where I'm somewhat anxious because funding lapses harm the public.

I'm going to be okay, but for others who needs the government, who hopes to go visit a federal park or institution, they're going to be impacted, if not immediately, then in the near future.

And that is unacceptable.

A Republican Voter, 55, GOP Supporter

This Indiana voter claims Democrats are engaging in partisan games with everyday people and their well-being.

This is usual partisan behavior. It is a continuing resolution they are seeking to pass, that the Democrats don't support.

Many are calling it a Democratic closure, it's not the fault of the Republicans, it's on the opposition, he's acting to remain relevant within his political faction - in the meanwhile, all are in the difficult position.

I fail to observe that this is going to end.

The average Americans are trapped between sides, and the left are willing to sacrifice the public. They're hurting their reputation any benefits when they actually hold up matters like this.

Trey Stewart, 27, Democrat

This Florida citizen states the Democratic tactic is a challenging but essential one and one that affects his sister, who has been placed on leave because of the closure.

Democrats' approach is a tough one, but unfortunately it is a required one.

They have not been able to do very much to impede or block the government's agenda.

I agree with their approach, I endorse their rationale for doing it.

The political figure is a intimidator and if you give into a bully he's going to expect additional concessions, that's how aggressive people work. So you have to stand up to a intimidator to make him recognise you're not going to concede for without resistance.

The point when it crosses a line is when the Democrats start suffering in the narrative struggle, if the perception turns to criticizing the left then it might be necessary to call it quits.

A Republican Voter, 64, GOP Supporter

This Grand Canyon State citizen is unaffected by the closure so he is ok with the shutdown continuing, if that is what it requires for Republicans to win.

I would expect after the time that the left have had, I would have thought that they would have gone along with the temporary funding, at least temporarily.

I am in favor of what the Republicans are attempting, I'm in favor of lowering government spending.

The left have grown so opposed of the administration, no matter what he proposes I think they would find cause to battle him.

I myself am not feeling the urgency that many citizens are, this does not affect.

What little we rely on the federal system - what it supplies for us - the shutdown is will not affect us {whatsoever|at all|in any
